Why is our gate closed?

Pembina Valley Bible Camp is a full time ministry located on private property with registered paying guests and staff whom live on site, year round. Our desire is for camp to gain and cultivate healthy relationships. It is my responsibility to communicate and educate in regards to our camp operations. We have a gate at the end of the lane. When the gate is closed, all grounds and activities are also closed to the public. The re-location and use of the gate is not to offend anyone. The freedom for the public to have access in and out of camp for over 30 years is now removed, making this change even more difficult. However, it is of extremely high importance to protect and care for our staff and guests on site. Throughout the summer months (July & August) and weekend rentals during the remainder of the calendar year, camp is responsible for the children and youth who are on site and entrusted to our care. The gate is there to provide traffic control and protection in our staffs extreme diligence to care for our campers and retreaters. Public events will be planned and promoted. When the gate is open, hiking and grounds are available by donation. Please call our office ahead of time to make arrangements for grounds or facility usage.
